    GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
    1. This document is to be read in conjunction with the Course Guide for this course.
    2. It is the responsibility of each student to confirm submission requirements including dates, time,
    and format.
    3. You will be required to complete 3 assignments in total.
    4. All assignments should be submitted electronically through Blackboard.
    5. Unless otherwise stated, all assignments submitted through Blackboard must be in Portable
    Document Format (pdf). The below format should be strictly followed:
    A4 paper (210 mm wide by 290 mm deep) with 25 mm margins on all four sides
    Times New Roman typeface in 12 point pitch
    One-and-half spacing
    Leave a blank line between paragraphs without indent
    Text should be justified across whole page width.
    6. You will refer to publications, but you must write in your own “voice” and cite the references using
    the Author-Date (Harvard) system. It is essential for you to fully understand what you write and to
    be able to verify your source if you are requested to do so later on. The library provides
    workshops and advice on citations and referencing.
    7. The University regards plagiarism as an extremely serious academic offence. Submission through
    BlackBoard includes your declaration that the work submitted is entirely your own. A cover page
    (see the last two pages) should be filled in and submitted with each assignment.

    PURPOSE OF ASSIGNMENT
    The purpose of this assignment is to:
    Define a research problem that requires further substantial literature review and original
    research exploration.
    Critically review the current literature relevant to the research problem.
    ASSIGNMENT TASK
    Students will develop a literature review on a certain research topic individually to identify the research
    gaps/problems and propose indications for future research. The lecturer will allocate a research topic
    to each student. Students need to use the literature searching skills introduced in lectures to identify
    the relative academic or public publications. Critical thinking should be conducted during the review
    process. The review report should cover the following information:
    Research topic
    Background information
    Literature searching process
    Summary of publications
    Research gaps/problems
    Implications for future research
    Define clearly your research title, aim and questions for future research
    ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
    This is an assignment that is to be submitted and marked for each individual.
