    The Literature Review
Literature Review is to be submitted by Fri Week 6
 It is a special form of information gathering where you
present the known body of knowledge relevant to the
issue(s) or problem(s) you are addressing
 The LR is NOT just a string of authors, names, pages and
references. It is structured as if you are developing an
argument explaining why you need to undertake your
research. Possibly, you might point to:
 a gap in the literature, or
 an issue or question that needs more evidence or research

 In the example Seminar (last week)
The body of literature that dealt with teaching of skill sets
and/or mind sets relevant to the creative process was
structured to show, at one extreme, those that say it can’t be
done while at the other, those that have tried various ways
to teach creativity in a business context.

    Literature Review
 Each week students are asked to build and develop

 Each week questions are asked to guide and make
sure they follow the right process to develop the
    literature review
 For example, Why did you choose this aspect of the
topic to describe in your literature review? Is it
leading to where you will be able to discuss a
solution in your next chapter? Is it bringing up a gap
in literature? Is it justifying the value of your topic or
ideas? Is there a hypothesis you can deduce from
    the literature?
