    Assignment 1:
    1) Business Management Planning (30%)
     This has to be done in teams. You have to form teams (with 3-4 members) and enrol your
    teams in CloudDeakin so you would be able to submit your assignment. Kindly take note
    that Group 1-3 are allocated for Geelong while Group 4 onwards are allocated for
    Burwood and online students. You have to work closely with the members of your team,
    hence, forming a team that can work with you well is crucial.
     You will work in a team of 3-4 members in order to prepare a written business management
    plan for a simulated company called WRSX Group. This assignment is an opportunity for
    you to familiarise yourselves with WRSX company and to draw on what you have learned
    from your personal edge units, core units and your respective majors in addressing the key
    strategic issues that a business organisation like WRSX Group needs to confront towards
    sustainable business performance. You will demonstrate your skills in the systematic
    analysis of an organisation (i.e. its internal and external business environments) and work
    with your team to recommend strategic directions or propositions leading to the
    development of a business management plan for WRSX Group. You are expected to draw
    on the topics that are covered in this unit in your systematic and critical analysis of business
    management issues and present the results of your analysis in a concise yet comprehensive
    manner that aids managerial decision-making.
     The length of your business plan should be no more than 3,000 words. Please use Times
    New Roman font, size 12, double space and 1 inch margin all sides. If you cite any reference,
    the reference list is NOT counted in the maximum number of words. Please submit a Word
    document file. Submit through the designated Assignment folder in the CloudDeakin site.
     The structure of the written business plan has seven sections. These sections are as follows:

    Content

    This is a capstone unit that builds on and integrates student’s knowledge, skills and abilities gained from units comprising the Bachelor of Management.

     

    Students are given the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to plan and manage a business in a simulated global business environment.

     

    Students work in teams and draw from their skills toolbox gained in the Bachelor of Management to develop, implement, and evaluate their performance in running a virtual business.

     

    In particular, students apply their knowledge of Strategic Management, Business Ethics, HR, Marketing, Finance and Accounting to set up a virtual international business and take the business through its life cycle.

    Assessment

    Assessment 1 (Group of 4 students) - Business Plan Development (3000 words) - 30%

    Assessment 2 (Group of 4 students) - Business Simulation Report (4000 words) - 50%

    Assessment 3 (Individual) - Capstone Report (1500 words) -20%
