This business report will focus on analysis of acquisition in Australia. When it is dealing with affairs in acquisition, legal issues shall be paid more attention to. Then, there are also calls for developing strategic and managerial functions of HR in organizations. Hence, discussion will be implemented and conclusions on developing HR functions would be introduced. Outsourcing, as one of the ways to develop functions of HR, could be followed in accordance to actual conditions of the company, which will be presented in the report.
The Wordsmiths’ acquisition of the Mainly Books demonstrates the importance of HR functions within an organization. Given functions of HR in the organization, HR should pay more attention to strategic functions instead of administrative functions. Relationships between the employee party and company shall be arranged legally and reasonably for that benefits of both sides could be obtained to the greatest extent. Traditional methods of managing human resources may ignore the more challenging functions in corporate strategic management. However, definition of HR functions should be redefined to meet with requirements of current society. In a word, it is no longer that only traditional core departments be essential. HR department will also be a strategic department in business management in the future.
